We are excited to announce that the next campaign event to support the John Barth for City/County Council Campaign will be held at another great locally-owned business:

Time: 3:00 – 5:00

Date: Sunday April 11, 2010

Co-Hosts: Joe Smith Jr., Taylor Kumler, Kelley Teller, Melanie Priest, Liz Pinnick, and Kate Shoup

Location: Brugge Brasserie – 1011 East Westfield Boulevard (in Broad Ripple)

Suggested donations are $25, $50, $75

Big Crowd for Campaign Event

A big thank-you to the more than 70 people who attended the “John Barth for City/County Council” event that took place on January 30, 2010. The event, held at the Melody Inn and featuring live music from the Foster Grants, was an exciting way to get out John’s campaign message about strengthening neighborhoods. John spoke about his campaign’s progress in 2009 and his vision for 2010 to spark a city-wide discussion about our neighborhoods and what we can do to keep them strong.

Thanks also to the event co-sponsors, Phil Golobish, Lauren Stanisic, Anna Proctor, Rachel Criss, and Amanda Haury. And a final thank you to our friends in the Foster Grants for an excellent performance.

Venita J. Moore Named Barth Campaign Treasurer

Moore, CPA, MBA has joined the campaign as treasurer. “I am fortunate to have someone with Venita’s amazing skills and experience join my campaign team,” said John of the former state cabinet official and small business owner. Kickoff Event a Success!

Thanks to everyone who attended our John Barth for City/County Council kickoff event. The event, held on Sunday, October 25, at the Melody Inn Reception Hall, was an exciting and energetic start to our campaign. John spoke about his vision for a campaign focused on the heart of our city – its great neighborhoods. John is building his campaign on policies that support our neighborhoods through economic development, building connectivity, and encouraging all our citizens to be engaged, activated neighbors
