It’s been over a year since I began my campaign to be an At-Large member of the Indianapolis City-County Council and I am both thankful and humbled by all the support I have received. John Recognized by Martin Luther King Community Center

The Martin Luther King Community Center has honored John and five other local leaders with the 2011 Living the Legacy Award for his work in the community. The awards were presented during the Center’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration, held at the Indiana Historical Society from 10 to 4 on Monday January 17. Barth Campaign Neighborhood Meetings

The residents of Marion County live in neighborhoods that are unique, from the community assets they posses to the people who live there. During the fall of 2010, the Barth for Council Campaign is hosting a series of meetings with neighbors across Indianapolis to hear ideas on how our neighborhoods can be strengthened to ensure we have safe places to work, live, play, and enjoy family.

Families Turn Out for Campaign Event

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the John Barth for City/County Council event – “Families for Barth” – that took place on July 18, 2010 at the home of Kate Bova. Despite a surprise rainstorm, the event had a great turnout and the weather cleared to allow the kids to play outside. Special thanks to the event co-sponsors Kate Bova, Kelly Ivcevich Noga, Robert Shea, Bent & Natalie (Carter) Auberry, and Angie Ziliak.

Safe Routes to School Program

Kickoff Event a Success!

Thanks to everyone who attended our John Barth for City/County Council kickoff event. The event, held on Sunday, October 25, at the Melody Inn Reception Hall, was an exciting and energetic start to our campaign. John spoke about his vision for a campaign focused on the heart of our city – its great neighborhoods. John is building his campaign on policies that support our neighborhoods through economic development, building connectivity, and encouraging all our citizens to be engaged, activated neighbors
