The residents of Marion County live in neighborhoods that are unique, from the community assets they posses to the people who live there. During the fall of 2010, the Barth for Council Campaign is hosting a series of meetings with neighbors across Indianapolis to hear ideas on how our neighborhoods can be strengthened to ensure we have safe places to work, live, play, and enjoy family.

The event, “Families for Barth”, will focus on John’s ideas for strengthening neighborhoods in Indianapolis to be more interconnected and family friendly. Barth Campaign Event Sparks Neighborhood Discussion

Thank you to everyone who attended the John Barth for City/County Council event that took place on April 11, 2010 at Brugge Brasserie in Broad Ripple. We had a great turnout and the event sparked much discussion about strengthening neighborhoods in Indianapolis, including John’s ideas for neighborhood-directed economic development and citizen activation. Big Crowd for Campaign Event

A big thank-you to the more than 70 people who attended the “John Barth for City/County Council” event that took place on January 30, 2010. The event, held at the Melody Inn and featuring live music from the Foster Grants, was an exciting way to get out John’s campaign message about strengthening neighborhoods. John spoke about his campaign’s progress in 2009 and his vision for 2010 to spark a city-wide discussion about our neighborhoods and what we can do to keep them strong.

Thanks also to the event co-sponsors, Phil Golobish, Lauren Stanisic, Anna Proctor, Rachel Criss, and Amanda Haury. And a final thank you to our friends in the Foster Grants for an excellent performance.
